How to register your event

How to Register your Community Bike Week event (public events)

Regardless if you have received a Bike Week grant for your community Bike Week event or not, registering your event is simple. All you need to do is create a public Facebook event and invite ‘@BikeWeekWA’ as a co-host. Once we have accepted this invite, your event will appear on Bike Week’s event calendar and will also help us promote your event to a wider audience.

Invite  @BikeWeekWa as a co-host

When creating your event post, please include as much information as possible, such as:

  • What the participant will need to bring,

  • Who the event is suitable for,

    • E.g. is this suitable for children, novice riders or for experienced riders only?

  • If registration is required, especially if there is a separate registration process.

  • Date, time, location and contact details

Choose an Event Cover photo that best represents what your event will look like and who is likely to participate. For example, it is best not to choose a picture of professional cyclists if your event is targeted towards families and casual riders.

How to Register your Workplace or School Bike Week Event (private events)

For Workplaces and Schools who are hosting private events this year, we know that you don't need to promote your event to the wider community. However, to recognise your organisation's participation, please send us a high-quality picture of your organisation’s logo and we will add your logo to the website. Send your logo and a brief description of your event to bikeweek@westcycle.org.au
